Brandi Baldwin
A lifelong athlete, Brandi first found yoga while living in Boston in the wake of 9/11. Initially drawn to the physical challenge of yoga, Brandi soon found the classes to be profoundly emotionally healing as well as physically challenging. As she began to explore yoga more fully, Brandi fell in love with yoga philosophy as well as it's physical practices.
In 2008, choosing to take the next step and become a yoga teacher, Brandi was certified in Vinyasa Yoga at the Green Monkey with dedicated senior teacher, Rosella Rossi. As passionate about learning as she was about teaching, Brandi then immersed herself in the world of yoga, teaching, practicing and studying with local and visiting teachers, until 2014, when she found herself called to travel to India.
Here Brandi found an even deeper connection to the transformative power of yoga through the rich and radically holistic practices of Sattva Yoga. Over the course of the next several years, Brandi traveled multiple times to India to study these comprehensive Himalayan teachings with spiritual guide and Master Teacher, Anand Mehrotra, taking courses and bringing students to study and practice with her at Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, India. Brandi's students not only receive the benefits of her many years of teaching, practice and study, but also of her deep commitment to authenticity and service. In addition to being a yoga teacher, Brandi also has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. When not teaching yoga, Brandi can be found reading, baking, making jewelry and sharing her love of creativity through crafting and other artistic expressions.
