Kelly Poppen

Kelly began her yoga practice over 20 years ago, when she took her first Kripalu class in the state of Washington. Yoga quickly became an important part of her life and she experimented with many different teaching styles and philosophies.

In 2014, she completed her 200-hour teaching certification in a month-long, intensive residential program at the Tao Center in Malaga, Spain, where she returned two years later to complete her 500-hour RYT certification. She opened her own yoga studio in Tenerife, in the Canary Islands of Spain, where she also taught stand up paddleboard yoga classes in the east Atlantic Ocean.

Kelly is trained in classical Hatha, with strong influences from the teachings of Sivananda. Her classes are well-rounded, balancing physical asana practice, meditation, and breathwork. Kelly believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone, and she strives to make her classes welcoming, supportive, and inclusive for all.
